RELATED AND ENRICHMENT SERVICES

Music Therapy

Music is used therapeutically to create positive changes in human development and behavior. Our music therapy program focuses primarily on the following areas: social/emotional, cognitive/learning, communication, and sensory/perceptual/motor. Music is social in nature and naturally draws students together, providing ample opportunities for facilitating relationships, cooperation, sharing, self-expression, and fun.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy program develops activities and lessons to engage students to improve their academic and daily living skills. So many of the skills we take for granted like using a pencil, tying shoes, brushing teeth, or eating with a fork are the tasks that our students need to practice daily to become self-sufficient. Occupational therapy is a great support for teachers and staff. The program provides teachers with the ability to continually work on the skills throughout the week.

Speech Therapy

Speech, language, and psychological Services are provided by the Berks County Intermediate Unit through Act 89.
